This week’s speaker at the lunchtime rotary meeting was Ryan Smith. Mr. Smith is in his second year as Head Football Coach for the SAGU Lions. If you have the pleasure of hearing Coach Smith speak you will find yourself buying into his message of hard work and dedication. This will hopefully bode well for the young men he leads on Saturdays. Not only are the SAGU players expected to perform well come game time, but off the field as well. “Building better young men” is what Coach Smith strives to achieve, “Not that their parents did a bad job, but my job is to take your child and hand back a better version.” Mr. Smith invites all of Waxahachie to come to watch his young men play come football season and say hi if you see them out serving the community.
